LAKE MILTON, Ohio (WKBN) — A poker run in Lake Milton took place Saturday to help out area veterans.

The poker run was held at the State Park Amphitheater Docks and was hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 737.

People were able to sit outside in tents for poker. Proceeds from the event went toward helping veterans in the area.

First News spoke with Janice Pitzer, a treasurer of the auxiliary, who talked about the importance of the unit.

“Serving our veterans and doing for our veterans and our community — we’re a part of the community, and we’re doing whatever we can for our community and our veterans,” Pitzer said.

Those in attendance were able to come to the run by car or on the water by boat or jet ski.
