A woman is behind bars in Florida after she allegedly ran over her boyfriend and their 16-month-old son with her car and then refused to take the boy to the hospital.

According to a probable cause arrest affidavit from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on Monday at a home in Lake Wales. The woman, 27-year-old Aaliyah Ross, is facing a slew of charges including aggravated child abuse , aggravated battery, child neglect and hit and run with property damage.

Per the affidavit, Ross and her boyfriend were arguing in the home when it became physical. Ross allegedly pushed her boyfriend to the ground. The boyfriend reportedly got up and ran outside with the child. He later told deputies put the child down and picked up a cinder block and threw it on Ross’ car.

“When the cinder block went onto the car that made Aaliyah even madder,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said .

Ross allegedly got into her car and lunged at the boyfriend, who was now holding their child. The boyfriend walked with the boy into the yard and that’s when Ross allegedly sped her car toward them. The boyfriend started to avoid the car, but couldn’t and she ran them over and then hit a trailer on the property, per cops.

“Did you hear what I said? She ran over her boyfriend and their baby — like bump, bump, bump run over,” Judd said.

A neighbor’s surveillance camera caught the incident on video.

According to deputies, Ross grabbed the boy and drove away along with the other two children. The boyfriend told cops he called his mother to take him to the hospital. He also called Ross to tell her to take the injured boy to the hospital, but she allegedly refused and drove back to the home where she dropped off the toddler and left him there by himself. She told the boyfriend that if the boy was going to the hospital, he would have to take him, according to Judd.

The boyfriend went back to the house and took the baby to the hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition, Judd said. The boy reportedly suffered multiple broken ribs, a partially collapsed lung and bruises all over his body.

“You’re talking about crazy? Here’s a crazy woman,” Judd said.

Cops arrested Ross in Orlando and she remains in the Orange County Jail awaiting extradition back to Polk County.
