(WNY News Now) – Mayville, NY – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County announces its 3rd Annual A Voice Fore A Child Beer & Wine Tasting Charity Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday, August 17 at Chautauqua Golf Club. Registration starts at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. The 18-hole, scramble format tournament will feature on-course tastings by local breweries, wineries, and coffee roasters. Crash in Town of Sheridan Leads to DWI Arrest
Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies have charged a Minnesota man after investigating a crash late Thursday night just outside of the Village of Silver Creek. Deputies responded to Pennsylvania Avenue shortly after 10:45 PM, located a vehicle in a ditch on East Middle Road, and found the driver a short distance away. Further investigation found that 38-year-old Daniel Gallivan of Minnetrista, Minnesota allegedly had a BAC more than twice the legal limit. Gallivan will appear in Sheridan Town Court at a later date to answer charges of DWI, aggravated DWI (BAC .18% or higher) and failure to keep right.

Dunkirk Man Charged with Felony DWI After Crash in Pomfret
A Dunkirk man faces a handful of charges following a one-vehicle crash in the Town of Pomfret Thursday night. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene Concord Road just before 10:30 PM and were assisted by a Jamestown Police K-9 in locating the driver, 63-year-old Christopher Ley, a short distance off the roadway. Further investigation found that Ley was allegedly intoxicated. Deputies charged him with felony DWI, unlicensed operation, failure to stop at a stop sign, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Ley will answer the charges in Pomfret Town Court at a later date.
Car crushed in between semi-truck and New York bridge railing; no one injured
(Gray News) - Miraculously, no one was injured after a car was crushed between a semi-truck and a bridge railing in New York. In a Facebook post, two medical teams from Chautauqua County EMS assisted the Bemus Point Fire Department and Ashville Fire Department on the scene of an accident involving a semi-truck and a Honda vehicle Tuesday evening.

(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – On July 5, 2024, at approximately 1:07 AM, the Jamestown Police Department responded to a fight in progress on the city’s north side. Upon arrival, officers observed multiple individuals engaged in a physical altercation. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that Abigail C. Quinones and Samantha M. Bullock were allegedly central to the incident.
Jamestown Police Charge Two in Domestic Dispute Involving Children
Two Jamestown residents are facing child endangerment charges following an investigation into a domestic dispute at an address on the city's north side Thursday afternoon. Jamestown Police were called to a report of a domestic dispute in progress shortly before 4:30 PM and determined that 18-year-old Charles Cooper, Sr. and 20-year-old Anikka Coulter got into a vehicle with a one-year-old child, allegedly struck a 15-year-old juvenile and also allegedly tried to strike another victim with the vehicle. Officers say Cooper and Coulter fled the scene, but were located a short time later and taken into custody. Coulter is also accused of violating a stay-away order of protection during the incident. Cooper faces two counts each of 2nd-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, while Coulter is charged with one count each of 2nd-degree criminal contempt and endangering the welfare of a child. Both were held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
