Gregg Takes Over as Head Coach of Warren Swimming and Diving Team
WARREN, Pa. – Brandon Gregg may be a first-year head coach, but he’s no stranger to the Warren Swimming & Diving program. Gregg, who retired from the Army in 2020, was officially approved by the school board on June 24 to take over for Russ Byer, who had led the program for a decade. Gregg had spent the last two years coaching divers, first as a volunteer and last season as an assistant coach.

For the second time in less than a year, an organization that opposes the placement of wind turbines in Lake Erie held a rally in the Town of Hanover. Jamestown Police Nab City Man for Possessing Loaded Pistol, Methamphetamine
A traffic stop on Jamestown's south side Thursday evening led to weapon and drug charges for a city man. Jamestown Police pulled over a vehicle in the area of Camp Street and May Street for an observed infraction at about 9:30 PM and saw drug paraphernalia in plain view. Officers completed a search of the vehicle and determined that 40-year-old Daniel Hallowell was allegedly in possession of a loaded semi-automatic pistol without a valid permit, as well as a quantity of methamphetamine. Hallowell was charged with 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

Jamestown Airport Awarded Grant For Fire Suppressant Testing Equipment
The Jamestown Airport has been awarded a grant to acquire fire suppressant testing equipment. Congressman Nick Langworthy the airport will receive $23,243 as part of the FY24 Airport Improvement Program (AIP) under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This grant will fund the acquisition of Aqueous Film Forming Foam (fire suppressant) input-based testing equipment.
