Jamestown Man Convicted in Federal Drug Case
A federal jury has found a Jamestown man guilty of drug charges that resulted from a February 2023 traffic stop in the city. U.S. Attorney Trini Ross announced Thursday that 39-year-old Jose Caceres, Jr. was convicted of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, possession of MDMA, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and maintaining a drug-involved premises. The verdict was the result of an investigation by the U.S. Probation Office, Jamestown Police Department, and DEA.

Wind farm project to revolutionize Long Island’s energy
Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) announced Wednesday, July 17, the start of construction on Sunrise Wind, an offshore wind farm about 30 miles off the coast of Montauk.
