GREENFIELD TOWNSHIP − A 37-year-old Lancaster man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Lithopolis Road near Mount Zion Road around 12:50 a.m. Friday.

The Ohio Highway Patrol identified the man as Brian W. Swank.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

Police said Swank was eastbound on his 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve and then ran off the right side of the road. He struck and ditch and an embankment. The county coroner's office pronounced him dead at the scene.

Along with the coroner's office, the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office and Greenfield Township EMS squad assisted the patrol.

    The crash remains under investigation.
