One dead in motorcycle crash on Ohio 158 and Rainbow Drive Thursday evening

LANCASTER − A Baltimore man is dead following a motorcycle crash at Ohio 158 and Rainbow Drive in Greenfield Township Thursday just after 10 p.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Craig Berstler, 54.

The patrol said Berstler was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Ohio 158 when Joshua Krannitz, 24, of Lancaster, drove through the intersection and Bertsler struck his vehicle. Krannitz was driving a 2018 Ford Fusion.

Berstler was taken to Fairfield Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Krannitz was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The Greenfield Township Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Pleasant Township Fire Department, Lancaster Fire Department, Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, and Fairfield County Coroners Office assisted the highway patrol at the scene.

The crash is under investigation
