LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Capital Area Humane Society is seeking information on a dog officials say was abandoned at their shelter July 2.

Officials took to Facebook Wednesday, writing the female dog was left, tied to a bench at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. She was in a harness, which she slipped out of, the agency reports, and chased after the person who left her.

The agency reports when she was unable to catch up to the individual, “she waited by her halter for two hours,” before a volunteer arrived.

Officials are asking anyone with information about this dog to call them at (517) 626-6060.
