    New Mexico State opened its season against Southeast Missouri State (1-1) at Aggie Memorial Stadium (1-0). Here are some of the key moments from Saturday night's battle:

    SEMO 16, NM State 23 (1:57 4th)

    Junior running back Seth McGowan rushes three yards for a touchdown. Sophomore quarterback Parker Awad ran for a successful two-point conversion.

    SEMO 16, NM State 15 (6:07 4th)

    Senior kicker Abraham Montaño converts a 51-yard field goal to cut the Redhawks ' lead to one point.

    SEMO 16, NM State 12 (11:44 4th )

    A holding penalty in the end zone on Redhawks freshman offensive lineman Carter Guillaume results in a safety for the Aggies .

    SEMO 16, NM State 10 (14:56 4th)

    Senior kicker DC Pippin drills his third field goal of the game from 48 yards out.

    SEMO 13, NM State 10 (9:22 3rd)

    Pippin converts a difficult 53-yard field goal with room to spare. The Redhawks retake the lead.

    SEMO 10, NM State 10 (0:40 2nd)

    Montaño hits a 24-yard field goal to tie the game.

    Pippin nails a 37-yard field goal for the Redhawks.

    SEMO 7, NM State 7 (11:04 2nd)

    McGowan bounces left before sprinting forward to score a 14-yard rushing touchdown. It's his first NM State touchdown after transferring from Butler Community College and Oklahoma.
