LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A man awaiting sentencing for violating his probation on burglary charges from 2017 is facing new charges in another case. Police said that 35-year-old Roy Clements attempted to rob the Love’s gas station in Las Vegas shooting two employees.

One of the victims said Clements went into the store and demanded money from the register. The victim called for help but that’s when police said Clements shot both victims in the leg.

He is facing several charges including armed robbery and two counts of aggravated battery. Last year, Clements was arrested for drugged driving and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
