WNBA Announces Major A'ja Wilson News

Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson was recently named the Western Conference Player of the Week. The two-time MVP currently leads the league with 27.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game.

Wilson and the Aces (8-6) are riding a two-game win streak, defeating two of the top teams in the league, the Seattle Storm and Connecticut Sun, in the past week.

The MVP frontrunner recorded 27 points and nine rebounds against the Storm and then had a monster double-double against the Sun, scoring 26 points and collecting 16 rebounds.

She's helped the two-time defending champion Aces to the No. 3 ranking in the Western Conference and No. 5 overall ranking in the WNBA.

Wilson’s efficiency has been incredible throughout the entire 2024 season. She’s shooting 52.4% from the field while giving up fewer than two turnovers per game. Both of those numbers are impressive, given Wilson’s major role with the team.

Las Vegas will look to continue its win streak Thursday against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, who are fresh off of an 88-87 victory over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
