Former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones may avoid jail time for a domestic violence charge, according to court documents.

Per ESPN , which cites Clark County court documents, Jones, who was arrested twice last year for allegedly violating a domestic violence temporary protective order and was facing multiple misdemeanor charges as a result, has plead no contest to one of the charges while the other one was dropped.

Jones received a suspended 90-day jail sentence and the charge will be dismissed if he can avoid getting into more trouble over the next six months and has no contact with the victim outside of Family Court orders, per court records.

The 34-year-old was signed by the Raiders to a three-year, $51 million deal in 2022 and appeared in 15 games that year.

However, he never saw the field again for Las Vegas after taking to social media in 2023 to criticize the team, including owner Mark Davis, former head coach Josh McDaniels and former general manager Dave Ziegler. Jones was later released.

Prior to his stint with the Raiders, Jones was one of the most productive pass-rushers in the NFL for more than a decade after he tallied 107.5 sacks over 10 seasons. He also played for the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals.
