Man shot, killed during altercation in northeast Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A man was shot and killed during an altercation Friday night in the northeast Las Vegas valley.

On Friday around 7:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Arid Avenue near Nellis Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue. When officers arrived they found a man in the middle of the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said the victim was involved in an altercation with multiple people during which an unknown suspect shot the victim. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
