LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police arrested a woman’s ex-boyfriend Wednesday in connection with her death after she fell off the hood of a moving SUV, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.
Alejandro Cisneros, 36, faces charges of open murder and leaving the scene of an accident for the June 28 death of Alondra Rivera, 28. Court documents the 8 News Now Investigators obtained cite Cisernos as Rivera’s on-and-off boyfriend.
Rivera had allegedly been fighting with an unknown person while on the hood of an SUV near Nellis and Charleston boulevards, police said at the time of her death. The driver, later identified as Cisneros, was suspected of making several stops, which may have caused Rivera to fall off the hood and hit her head. The driver then left the area.

Cisneros and Rivera were involved in a previous domestic incident at Resorts World on April 2, documents said. In that case, Rivera told police Cisneros “became very angry and slapped her in the face.” At that time, Rivera described Cisernos as her ex-boyfriend.
While speaking with officers, Cisneros first denied ever knowing Rivera, but then changed his story when officers noted an “Alondra” tattoo on his body, documents said.
Police charged Cisneros with one count of domestic violence after the April 2 incident. He pleaded not guilty in court on June 5, records said.
A judge approved the arrest warrant for Cisneros on the open murder and crash-related charges on Tuesday, a day before his arrest, records said.
Cisneros will be held without bail until a future court date, which had not yet been scheduled as of Wednesday morning.
