    Former KU guard signs new NBA deal

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KSNT ) – One of Kansas basketball’s most decorated Jayhawks has agreed to a new deal in the NBA.

    Point guard Devonte Graham has signed a one-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Graham previously played with the San Antonio Spurs, New Orleans Pelicans and Charlotte Hornets.

    Graham was drafted 34th overall in 2018 by the Charlotte Hornets where he averaged 18.2 points per game, 7.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds during the 2019-20 season. He became a free agent after playing the 2023-24 season with the San Antonio Spurs.

    Graham made three Elite Eights with the Jayhawks and led them to a Final Four performance his final year in Lawrence. He was the 2018 Big 12 Player of the Year and finished his career at No. 13 in most points scored at KU.
