The Lebanon City Police Department is asking the public for help after a 21-year-old male was assaulted in the 500 block of Chestnut Street on Sunday.

At 4:41 a.m. July 21, 2024, police were dispatched to the area of 5th and Cumberland streets for an assault victim. Upon their arrival, officers found a man who had suffered a serious leg injury.

"Police units on scene administered first aid to the male until EMS arrived," the department said in a news release Tuesday. "While police were speaking with the male, he stated he was assaulted on Chestnut Street near 5th Street by an unidentified male."

Police believed the man was injured following a disturbance that originated inside 513 Chestnut St. The injured man was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.

The case is being investigated by the Lebanon City Police Criminal Division.

Anyone with any information may contact Detective Martin at 717-272-6611 or submit a tip through the department's CRIMEWATCH website.
