Route 28 Lane Restrictions Begin Monday in Allegheny County
PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on Route 28 in the City of Pittsburgh and Millvale Borough, Allegheny County will begin Monday, July 15 weather permitting. Single-lane mobile restrictions will occur for raised pavement marker and microsurfacing work on Route 28 from East Ohio Street in the City of Pittsburgh to the Millvale (Exit 3B) exit in Millvale Borough from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. intermittently through mid-November. This work is part of an ongoing project occurring throughout the district and work may not occur each night.

I-79 Traffic Shift Monday Night in Robinson Township
PennDOT District 11 is announcing a traffic shift on northbound Interstate 79 in Robinson Township, Allegheny County will occur Monday, July 15 weather permitting. The northbound I-79 lanes at the I-376 interchange will shift to accommodate bridge deck overlay work. Line painting operations will begin Monday evening, July 15. Once painting operations conclude, traffic will be shifted to the left around-the-clock through mid-August into the new configuration maintaining two 12-foot-wide lanes with a 6-foot shoulder. All interchange ramp access will be maintained.

One of the many exciting Advocacy projects we’ve been working on this year is the planning and execution of a traffic calming street mural outside of Carnegie Library Woods Run branch. The mural is now complete, and we were proud to be a part of the mural dedication during the Library’s 60th anniversary celebration of their Woods Run location on Saturday, July 13!
