One dead after house fire in Hazleton
Hazleton, Luzerne Co. — Hazleton Police and Fire Department were dispatched to the area of 13th and Locust streets for a residential fire Saturday around 3:45pm. Upon arrival Hazleton Fire Department and other assisting agencies quickly put out the fire and determined that a victim was inside the home.

Nonprofit provides free flights for medical patients
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — This isn't the first time Michelle LaBar has strapped herself onto a jet plane at Hazleton Regional Airport in Luzerne County. In fact, she has been taking free flights from Hazleton to West Virginia for the past four years thanks to Patient Airlift Services or PALS Skyhope, a nonprofit organization that provides free flights to those battling illnesses and needing to travel elsewhere for medical services.

Beverly A. Eberlin, 85, of Muncy Valley, peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 with family by her side. HAZLE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — The death of a body found in a wooded area near the Hazleton High School on Wednesday has been ruled a homicide.
