ROYAL OAK, MI, July 15, 2024 ~ Hundreds of local sports personalities and legends gathered Monday to help raise money for Sparky Anderson’s CATCH Charity for Children. The CATCH Golf Classic took place at Red Run Golf Club, featuring live broadcasts of WJR‘s “All Talk with Jordan and Dietz” and “SportsWrap.” The golf classic featured a scramble format with the option of a celebrity golfer in each group, with sponsorships ranging from $3,500 to $35,000.

Michael Crowell, who has served as CertiPUR-US executive director for the past 10 years, will retire by the end of the year. Under Crowell’s decade of leadership, the Rochester Hills, Michigan-based CertiPUR-US foam certification program participation has expanded from 29 foam producers in five countries to more than 100 foam producers in 17 countries, now encompassing much of the foam supplied to the U.S. bedding and upholstered furniture markets. Crowell has played a key role in transforming the flexible polyurethane foam, bedding and furniture industries to make foam products used in the home safer and more sustainable. In May, the Alliance for Flexible Polyurethane Foam’s board of directors honored Crowell with the CertiPUR-US program’s Outstanding Leadership Award.
