Shawano County Sheriff’s Department Prepares for New K-9 Addition
SHAWANO, WI- Following the retirement of K-9 Arres earlier this summer, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department is gearing up to welcome a new K-9 unit. Capt. Nick Prey, who oversees the K-9 program, confirmed that a female Belgian Malinois has been reserved. Training will commence in mid-November 2024, with dates yet to be finalized. The training will be led by master trainer Tony Pallotta from Toronto, Canada, who conducts his own handler training courses.
