In the IMCA modifiers feature at the Shawano Speedway on July 27, Shawano’s Jordan Bartz moved up from starting 10th to take the checkered flag. Tigerton’s Wyatt Block, who started one spot in front of Bartz, finished one spot behind at the end.
Antigo-Polar and Eland tied atop BABA’s Northern Division
Badger Amateur Baseball from Sunday included a forfeit win for Antigo-Polar over Aniwa. Antigo-Polar is tied with 9-2 Eland for the top spot in the Northern Division, after the Engineers kept pace with a 4-0 win over Wittenberg. Tyler Nelson tossed a one-hit shutout on the mound, while Jacob Lizenga and Jeremy Jensen led Eland at the plate with two hits each.
Seymour and New London Legion Off To State
The AA Legion Regionals at Kewaunee County and New London wrapped up over the weekend with two area teams qualifying for State. Seymour went 3-1 in a three team round robin tournament to win the regional and qualify for state. Seymour was defeated by Kewaunee County in the Championship game, but beat them in the rematch.
