    Sussex Preservation Coalition meets to review housing developments Aug. 13

    LEWES — The Sussex Preservation Coalition is offering updates on several planned residential developments and emergency management at its next meeting, scheduled for Aug. 13 from 7-8:30 p.m. in person at the Lewes Library, 111 Adams Ave., or via Zoom.

    The coalition plans to provide updates on the Northstar residential community, planned for 750+ homes on about 400 acres in Lewes, Cool Spring Crossing, planned for more than 1,200 homes on about 630 acres outside Harbeson and the new perimeter buffer ordinance.

    Also, Timothy Cooper, the new deputy director of public safety in the county, is scheduled to give a presentation on hurricane preparedness.
