    UK reaping rewards in summer recruiting

    Although Kentucky missed out on landing a commitment from four-star cornerback Dawayne Galloway on Friday night, the Wildcats’ recruiting efforts over the last month have paid off in a big way for the class of 2025.

    After hosting a myriad of official visits in June, the commitments started rolling in. UK received pledges from three prospects in the last three days, highlighted by four-star edge rusher and Frankfort native Javeon Campbell’s commitment Tuesday, and expected the fireworks to continue. Galloway, out of Ohio — where Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops and recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow have created a major pipeline to Lexington — instead chose Purdue.
