Dallas Lambert was shocked by his spring offer from Kentucky . He knew he’d get offers at some point, but he didn’t expect it to come so quickly.

The 6-foot-4 defensive back from Port Charlotte (Charlotte, NC) told KSR+ that Kentucky’s defensive line coach Anwar Stewart called his coach to extend the offer. Now, as he’s nearing his junior year, he wants to set up a visit.

“Once I get to my junior year, get some more film out, and we get to the time where he can talk to me we can discuss a visit,” Lambert said.

He’s still a long way from committing. However, Lambert let us in on what Kentucky fans can expect if he does choose the Cats.

“Just be ready for a show,” he said.

Lambert’s dad attended Kentucky. Lambert is excited about his opportunity on the football side.

“From what I’ve heard, they’re pretty much like a family,” he said. “I talked to a few of the guys. They seem pretty cool. I like it over there. There’s not too much to do around there, but it still seems fun. It’s a nice little country vibe out there.”

    His Wider Recruitment

Dallas Lambert is just starting to get acquainted with college coaches, one month after the 2026 contact period began. He’s hearing from the likes of Florida State, Miami, Rutgers, Arkansas State, and Penn State, among others.

“I’m excited about what the future holds,” he said. “They’ll be back once the season is over and I produce. I was playing behind somebody in my freshman and sophomore year, so now it’s my time to shine. It’s all on me.”

Lambert wants to take visits at some point. Kentucky is atop that list.

“I’d like to go to Kentucky because they’re the ones who took a chance on me,” he said. “I’d like to see what it’s like. Just talking to Coach Stewart, I could tell the vibe I get from him. It was a good time, so I’d like to go out there for sure.”

    Dallas Lambert’s Game

2026 defensive back Dallas Lambert of Port Charlotte (NC) is listed as a safety, but he’s starting to make the move to cornerback. It’s been a transition, but it’s something he’s prepared for.

“I’m stronger than my defenders, so I can overpower them,” Lambert said. “I like to block too. I like to get up in people’s chests.”

Moving forward, Lambert is focused on his footwork, getting out of breaks, and getting his correct footwork down. He believes he can play anywhere.

“Whatever the coach needs me to do, I can get it done,” he said. “It’s whatever the coach thinks.”
