It was a rather slow week for Kentucky women’s basketball recruiting, but on Thursday, some pretty significant news regarding a top target was revealed.
Class of 2025 four-star guard Adelaide Jernigan narrowed her list of schools down to just three after previously having a Top 10. While Kentucky wasn’t in the original Top 10, Virginia Tech was. Of course, when Kenny Brooks jumped ship to Kentucky, Jernigan immediately began to consider the ‘Cats as a potential landing spot for her talents.
Then, when Jernigan narrowed her schools in consideration to three, all that were left were Michigan, NC State (the home-state team in this recruitment), and Kentucky.
The 58th ranked prospect in the class spoke with Dushawn London of 247Sports, and she revealed that she is taking official visits to all three programs. The order goes as follows:
- NC State: August 29-31
- Kentucky: September 6-8
- Michigan: September 20-22
Additionally, she also mentioned that she plans to make her commitment at the end of September once her visits have wrapped up.
