    Finding the intersection of art and activism at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival

    If there’s something we love here in Kentucky, it’s

    our outdoors . And one of the organization’s committed to highlighting our landscape, The Kentucky Conservation Committee , is bringing the 10th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival to the Lexington Public Library’s Central Library branch.


    The public is invited to watch 10+ films focused on conservation efforts, climate advocacy, and educating the public about ways to protect our environment. Think: E nergy and climate change, conservation efforts, environmental justice, community activism, and more.

    Short films that will be screened include:
    • “6,000 Miles”
    • “A Renewable Future”
    • “The Beauty Between”
    • “Biopixels”
    • “Brave Girl”
    • “Counting Cranes”
    • “Paddle Tribal Waters”
    • “Toxic Art”
    T he event takes place Friday, Aug. 30 in the Farish Theater beginning at 7 p.m. and tickets are now available .
