KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The City of Liberty announced that the Independence Day celebration, Liberty Fest, has been postponed to Friday, July 26.

Severe weather, weather damage, wet conditions at Capitol Federal Sports Complex of Liberty and the likelihood of rain tonight, the city decided to push the event to a more suitable date.

If you’ve already purchased a parking pass, but are not able to attend the rescheduled date, you can bring or mail the pass to the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce for a refund.

The City of Liberty claims that it’s never an easy decision to postpone an event of this nature. The city thanks Liberty Fest attendees for their patience and understanding.
