Felony Weapons Charge Filed Against Greenville Resident
Timothy J. Hayden, age 65, who has been living in Greenville, is charged in Bond County Circuit Court with possession of a weapon by a felon, a Class 3 felony. The state alleges that on June 13 Hayden, being a person convicted of a felony in St. Clair County, knowingly possessed a weapon, being a bludgeon.

EDWARDSVILLE - The City of Edwardsville was honored Wednesday with the Governor’s Cup for its support and collaboration with the Madison County Challenger Baseball Program. City Approves Agreement & Loan For Globe Theatre
There are plans for The Globe Theatre in downtown Greenville to be reopened later this year. The theatre has been closed since March of 2020. At its meeting Tuesday night, the Greenville City Council approved a business district agreement and revolving loan to assist Aundi and Andrew Mergner of Greenville to purchase building from Dave Willey and make improvements to reopen the theatre.

On-demand transit service options have been updated by the city of Norman, Okla., and Madison County Transit (MCT) to better address transit needs in the community. The city of Norman will be continuing its app-based public transit pilot program for another year, helping to fill transportation access gaps in the city since it first launched in August 2023.
