GCBL Annie Oakley Classic hosts 33 teams
GREENVILLE—The Greenville Citizens Baseball League (GCBL) held its 37th Annual Annie Oakley Classic Baseball Tournament, with 33 teams taking to the Sater Heights diamonds. “It’s the grandad of them all,” said tournament director Keith Heidrich. “It’s a great tradition. Generations have been coming here for the same tournament and hearing stories. It’s a neat tournament that has been going on for a very long time.”

SIUE Athletics add personnel to build revenue generation process
In new revenue generation efforts, Director of Athletics Andrew Gavin announced Noah Manns as the Assistant Director of Revenue Generation and Annual Fund. Manns will join Associate Director of Athletics for Revenue Generation Jake Sutter in assisting with revenue initiatives supporting the athletic department, particularly with the Cougar Athletic Excellence Fund.
Bethel Christian Academy Cancels Football Season Due To Low Participation
KINSTON, NC– Bethel Christian Academy's football program faces another hiatus this upcoming season due to limited participation. The Trojans had a promising 2021-22 season with a 5-3 record. However, they did not field a team in the 2022-23 season. In the 2023-24 season, Bethel brought back football but struggled with a late start and minimal depth, finishing with an 0-6 record.
