GREENVILLE—The Greenville Citizens Baseball League (GCBL) held its 37th Annual Annie Oakley Classic Baseball Tournament, with 33 teams taking to the Sater Heights diamonds. “It’s the grandad of them all,” said tournament director Keith Heidrich. “It’s a great tradition. Generations have been coming here for the same tournament and hearing stories. It’s a neat tournament that has been going on for a very long time.”
MOWIT volunteers lend hand at Baker transitional house for women
St. Louis – Volunteers with Missouri Women in Trades (MOWIT) helped demo and rebuild a plumbing stack at one of the Baker House’s transitional homes for women on June 29 and 30. A group of female Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 members led the project. The house, located in south St. Louis City, is owned by Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry, which provides housing and wrap-around services for women reentering the St. Louis community from jail or prison.
