81-year-old swimmer’s life transformed after receiving innovative pacemaker at SIUH
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Koon Loh, an 81-year-old New Jersey resident, felt shocked and confused when he learned he had a condition that would jeopardize his lifestyle. In 2020, Loh discovered he had an abnormal and dangerously low heart rate, causing him to experience shortness of breath and fatigue. As an electrical engineer and daily swimmer, Loh was determined to protect his health to continue living actively.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Town of Westfield has been advised by Elizabethtown Gas that a portion of Springfield Avenue will be closed during overnight hours this week for utility work, Westfield Police said in a Nixle alert Monday. ROSELLE PARK, NJ — The borough grew a little brighter recently, as Union County Connects, a 501(c)(3) charity that advocates for safer trail networks in Union County, unveiled a brand-new mural featuring a historical rendition of the Rahway Valley Railroad Engines. Painted on the Son-Rise Document Solutions building at the outskirts of the borough, the mural welcomes travelers into Roselle Park. The mural was created by a Jersey City-based street artist, known as "Distort", who has composed many murals throughout New Jersey. Morristown, NJ – Over 290,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 27 Morristown High School seniors to support their academic pursuits, announced the Morris Educational Foundation (MEF). The MEF, a non-profit organization enhancing excellence in education in the Morris School District for over 31 years, honored the deserving students during the high school’s scholarship award night on June 11.
