Tech’s Child Development Lab Planning Expansion
Tennessee Tech’s Child Development Lab is in the earliest stages of planning an expansion so they can better support local families. Child Development Lab Director Angie Smith said they currently have a wait list of about 250 families looking to get their children into the program. Smith said they are looking to establish a long-term strategic plan.

Kentucky felon sentenced to 8 years in prison for child exploitation material
FRANKFORT, KY — On June 20, 41-year-old Jason Pitcock of Fountain Run was sentenced to eight years in prison for the possession and viewing of child exploitation material. The Department of Criminal Investigations' Special Victims Unit in the Office of the Attorney General investigated the case and Monroe County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jesse Stockton prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
