Experience Beavers with big expectations for this season
WILTON, Iowa (KWQC) - The Wilton Beavers return almost every starter from last seasons 8-2 team, leading to high expectations for the team. Wilton brings back a large class of 17 seniors after graduating just 4 last year. Wilton will travel to Bracewell Stadium in Burlington for a scrimmage against three schools in a jamboree featuring the Beavers, Grayhounds, West Burlington Falcons, and Pekin Panthers. They will kick off the regular season at home on Sept. 30th against Mid-Prairie.

(Des Moines) A 13-thousand-year-old mastodon skull has been found in an Iowa creek. Two More Northeast Iowa Tornadoes Confirmed from August 5th Storms Add to State’s Record 2024
Two more tornadoes have been confirmed by the National Weather Service (NWS) in La Crosse, Wisconsin from storms the night of August 5th in northeast Iowa. The NWS initially confirmed an EF1 tornado north of Waukon near Hanover, with peak wind speeds estimated at 105 mph. It was 50 yards wide and was on the ground for about ten minutes, traveling almost four miles.
