    Threat reported at West Virginia middle and high school on first day of classes

    MARTINSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A threat was made toward a West Virginia middle and high school this morning.

    According to Berkeley Springs Middle School Principal Dr. Amy Haderer and Spring Mills High School Principal Mark Salfia, this morning, an online threat was reported, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.

    Following a thorough investigation, the threat was determined to be false, and an all-clear was issued around 9:40 AM on Monday.

    Monday was the first day of classes for Berkeley County School.

    The safety and well-being of students and staff remain the highest priority at Spring Mills Middle School and Spring Mills High School, according to the principals.

    School officials say that all threats are taken seriously.

    Parents and guardians are encouraged to reach out to their student’s school with any further questions or concerns.
