Actor/musician LaKeith Stanfield and his wife have settled a lawsuit brought by a former nanny who alleges the couple denied her payment while on an eight-day trip to New York City in 2023.

Plaintiff Monica Sawyer's attorney informed Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Wendy Chang of the accord during a case management conference on Wednesday. No terms were divulged.

According to Sawyer's suit, she was hired as a travel nanny by Stanfield, 32, and his wife, Kasmere Trice, and was supposed to be paid $500 a day from Oct. 31 to Nov. 7, 2023, and to provide 24-hour supervision for the couple's baby during their trip. However, Sawyer alleged she was not paid.

"During her employment with defendants, plaintiff was never compensated for the approximately eight-day, 24-hour care she provided for defendants' infant -- not one dollar," the suit alleged.

The infant stayed in Sawyer's room every night and consistently woke up every 2 1/2 hours, remaining awake for approximately 45 minutes each time," according to the suit brought Feb. 1.

In their court papers, the couple's attorneys denied Sawyer's allegations and urged that judgment be entered in their clients' favor.
