On Thursday afternoon, the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft occurred, and the spotlight was on Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

The expectation is that the Lakers will team up Bronny with his father and select him with their No. 55 pick.

During the second round, Rich Paul, Bronny's agent, is said to be giving a strong warning to all NBA teams, except for the Lakers, about selecting James.

According to Bob Myers of ESPN, Paul, the founder of Klutch Sports Group, has reportedly advised teams not to draft Bronny and has warned that if they do, Bronny will pursue a professional basketball career in Australia instead of playing in the NBA.

"Rich Paul’s calling teams, don’t take Bronny James. He's telling them, 'Do not take him. If you take him, he's going to Australia,'" Myers reported.

Bronny played college ball with the USC Trojans for just one season, staying close to Los Angeles where his family lives. In his lone season, Bronny averaged 4.8 points on 36.6% shooting, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. USC went 15-18 in 2023-24 with Bronny on the team.
