Dodgers flame-throwing lefty called up to make MLB debut

The Dodgers are bringing up hard-throwing lefthander Justin Wrobleski to make his MLB debut Sunday according to Fabian Ardaya of the Athletic.

Wrobleski's ascension to the Bigs is a little out of the blue since he began the season in Double-A Tulsa, then made two starts at Triple-A before his call-up. He isn't expected to be around long since his start is just to give second-year righty Bobby Miller an extra day off without taxing the bullpen with a bullpen game.

In 15 starts across the two levels this season the lefty has posted a 3.23 ERA in 78.0 innings with 79 strikeouts and 16 walks.

Los Angeles drafted Wrobleski, 23, in the 11th round of the 2021 draft out of Oklahoma State. He has a career 3.03 ERA in 53 minor league appearances with 48 starts.
