College football analyst thinks Deion Sanders could be fit for Big 10 coaching job

Deion Sanders has quickly become one of college athletics' most popular and polarizing figures. His hire in Boulder at the University of Colorado was the most talked-about coaching hire of the last decade. However, after a 4-8 season, some have already doubted the NFL Hall of Famer and his tactics regarding recruiting and the treatment of his players.

However, one college football analyst thinks that Coach Prime could be a fit at another powerhouse school if it were to open up in the future.

Paul Finebaum, longtime college football analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network, stated on ESPN’s First Take Monday morning that if Lincoln Reilly struggles to win at USC this season, the writing could be on the wall for him USC to want to move on.

Finebaum followed that statement by throwing around the idea that Deion Sanders would be an option the Trojans could explore if they were to part ways with Reilly. “He’s going to be tired of Colorado because, quite frankly, it is not prime time.” Finebaum then suggested that putting Coach Prime in Tinsel Town would be “one of the great combinations in history” if the Trojans moved on from Reilly.

There is currently no reason to believe that USC is looking to move on from Reilly, especially given the large contract USC gave him just a season ago to come over from Oklahoma. However, if the Trojans fail to perform in their first season in the Big Ten, it would not be out of the question to ponder the future of their head coach, and it would be difficult for Sanders to turn down the opportunity if it were offered to him.
