Will Tom Cruise be closing out the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France with a stunt for the ages?

If we are going by the rumors that are swirling, the answers are leaning towards a resounding “yes.” The 62-year-old action star has been spotted multiple times already attending some of the Olympic events, so the fact that Cruise is already in Paris gives some legs to these reports.

According to some inside information acquired by TMZ, portions of the stunt were already filmed in Los Angeles- where the Olympic games will be held in 2028 – back in March. And the rest of the plan will apparently go as follows:

“Sources with direct knowledge tell us the plan for the upcoming Closing Ceremony involves Tom repelling down from the top of Stade de France … landing on the stadium field and carrying the official Olympic flag.

The TV broadcast will then cut to a previously recorded film … and the first 2 minutes shows Tom’s journey on an airplane … flying with the Olympic flag from France to Los Angeles, where he skydives down to the Hollywood sign.”

Is there anything that Tom Cruise can’t do?

The reports also suggest that the Mission Impossible star is the brains behind this entire idea. He’s the one who allegedly approached the International Olympic Committee with the Olympic-bridging-stunt idea, and they apparently loved it.

I just hope that they somehow work a classic Tom Cruise full-sprint into the video at some point. Sure, Tom jumping out of planes and skydiving is cool, but no one can run at full speed like he can. As a big fan of his, I might pass out if the stunt includes Cruise running as fast as he can with the olympic torch.

We’ve actually already got some footage of how the stunt could end, which you can view below. Tom Cruise was spotted from a distance climbing around the iconic Hollywood sign, but no one thought much about it at the time.

    Now it all makes sense:
