Anything related to Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand that once told us to treat parasites with a raw goat milk cleanse, really gets people talking. We would know—we can’t mention salads in this town without someone recommending Goop Kitchen, a takeout operation with four ghost kitchens across LA. A salad or bowl and a side will run you around $30 (more if you choose delivery), which, in our book, is fairly pricey for a solo takeout meal. We won’t deny that Goop Kitchen’s “nutritious, fantastic-tasting food” does indeed taste good, including a cobb salad that comes with a jammy orange yolk egg, golden beets, and a punchy dijon vinaigrette. You can tack on a side of soccata—chickpea and feta fritters—that arrive warm in the bag. Overall, Goop Kitchen doesn’t that much more than an Erewhon hot bar, but it’s a tasty, convenient option if you're not sweating a budget.
