    Starting 5: Louisville, Kentucky athletes highlight Team USA track and field team, more

    With the 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials completed, here are some athletes from Kentucky you can watch in the Paris Olympics:

    Alexis Holmes , University of Kentucky, 400 meters; Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone , University of Kentucky, 400-meter hurdles; Daniel Roberts , University of Kentucky, 110 hurdles; Masai Russell , University of Kentucky, 100 hurdles; Andrew Evans , University of Kentucky, discus; Charity Hufnagel , University of Kentucky, high jump; Jayden Ulrich , University of Louisville, discus; Yared Nuguse , Manual High School and University of Notre Dame, 1,500 meters.

    Evans, Hufnagel, Russell and McLaughlin-Levrone finished first in their events. Ulrich and Nuguse placed second in their events. Holmes and Roberts finished third in their events.

    Around the city: Male football alum Nate Hobbs hosting youth camp

    Male High School alum and Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs will host his annual Nate Hobbs Football Camp & Showcase.

    The camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Waggener High School.

    The camp is for kids of all ages and skill levels who want to improve their game.

    Around the state: South Oldham golfer Griffin Barke wins 45 th Kentucky Boys Junior Amateur Golf Championship

    South Oldham's Griffin Barke , a North Carolina Wilmington commit, won the 45th Ke n tucky Boys Junior Amateur Golf Championship on July 3 at Nevel Meade Golf Club in Prospect.

    Barke carded a 64 on Day 2 to grab sole possession of first place, which he never relinquished, and finished at 6-under-par 210.

    High school recruiting: Sacred Heart basketball star ZaKiyah Johnson narrows list to six schools

    Sacred Heart basketball standout ZaKiyah Johnson recently trimmed her list of colleges to six: Louisville, South Carolina, Notre Dame, LSU, Kentucky and USC.

    Johnson helped lead the Valkyries to their fourth consecutive KHSAA championship and is spending the summer playing on the Team USA Under-18 team .

    • Racing Louisville FC is scheduled to host a Summer Cup match against Rayadas de Monterrey at 8 p.m. July 20.
    • Louisville City FC is set to host Cancún FC in an international friendly match at 8 p.m. Saturday.
    • The Louisville Bats are scheduled to host St. Paul Saints at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday. The series continues with games scheduled at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, then 7:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The last game of the series is set for 1:05 p.m. July 14.
