    Where people, animals can evacuate to during Alexander Mountain Fire in west Loveland

    Update, 12 p.m. Tuesday: Large animals must now be evacuated to Island Grove Regional Park, 501 N. 14th Ave., Greeley, according to a Larimer County Sheriff's Office Facebook post . The evacuation site at The Ranch in Loveland is closed, and animals currently at The Ranch are being moved to Island Grove.

    Original: Mandatory evacuations are in place Monday afternoon for areas impacted by the Alexander Mountain Fire burning west of Loveland.

    The fire was reported just before noon Monday in the area west of Sylvan Dale Ranch near U.S. Highway 34, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.

    Here's where people, pets and other animals can go to evacuate:

    Evacuation centers in Loveland, Estes Park

    An overnight evacuation center has been set up at Foundations Church, 1380 Denver Ave., Loveland. The evacuation center at Namaqua Elementary School has closed, the American Red Cross announced about 6 p.m. in a news release.

    Another evacuation Center had opened Monday at the Estes Park Events Complex, 1125 Rooftop Way, Estes Park.

    The American Red Cross is operating the overnight shelter at Foundations Church, according to a news release, where evacuees can access food, water and other supplies, as well as medical and mental health services. The Red Cross also operated the evacuation center at Namaqua Elementary School earlier Monday.

    Large animals

    Large animals can be evacuated to Island Grove Regional Park, 501 N. 14th Ave., Greeley.

    The evacuation center at The Ranch in Loveland closed midday Tuesday, and all animals at that site are asked to move to Island Grove in Greeley, according to a Larimer County Sheriff's Office Facebook post .

    Small animals, pets

    People can take their small animals and pets to the NOCO Humane Society, 3501 E. 71st Street, Loveland. They're able to temporarily house small animals for people who need to evacuate, and they are accepting any pets the size of a goat or smaller, according to a Facebook post .

    The human society did not have an immediate need for item donations as of 3 p.m. Monday, according to a NOCO Humane Instagram post.

    What should I bring with me if I have to evacuate?

    Here are some things the American Red Cross recommends taking with you if you have to evacuate your home:

    • One gallon of water per person, per day
    • Nonperishable food
    • Can opener
    • Flashlight and batteries
    • Battery-powered or hand-crank radio
    • Personal hygiene items, like a toothbrush and toilet paper
    • Cell phone and charger
    • Map of the area
    • Copies of important documents
    • Cash
    • Contact information for friends and family who can help
    • Medications
