    Newborn baby found in Lubbock dumpster, police ask public for information

    LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department on Saturday morning asked for the public’s help finding the mother of a newborn baby that was found in a dumpster near 4th Street and Cherry Avenue.

    LPD said the baby was found around 4:00 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the birth or the circumstances was asked to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.

    “We would like to reiterate that callers can remain anonymous,” LPD said.
