Lutcher woman found after being missing for 12 years

LUTCHER, La. ( WGNO ) — St. James Parish Detective Corporal Tamarius Smith has found a woman who was reported missing over 12 years ago.

According to the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, Angela Williams Franklin was last seen packing items into her car in the 2800 block of Lionel Washington Street in Lutcher on Jan. 24, 2012. Her family reported her as missing soon after.

Franklin’s case was reopened after Smith found an online documentary that discussed her disappearance.

After thorough investigation, it was discovered that Franklin was living out of state.

To respect her privacy, her location and photos will not be released, according to officials at the SJPSO.
