Town Council Approves Four New ARPA Projects
In an effort to make sure all available American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds are allocated by the Dec. 31 deadline, the Town Council approved funding for four new projects. In 2022, it was announced that Clinton would receive about $3.8 million of federal money from ARPA to help mitigate the financial effects of the COVID-19 virus.
Police warn of road closures as historic houses are moved in Hartford
Four historic houses are being moved in Hartford later this week and police are warning residents and businesses that this will impact traffic. Police said four historic homes on Lincoln Street will be moved to other locations in the city. Two homes will move to Putnam Street, one will move to Lawrence Street and one will move to Hungerford Street.
Record-breaking $7 million raised at 2024 Dream Ride Experience in Farmington
FARMINGTON, Conn. — A record-breaking $7 million was raised at the Dream Ride Experience in Farmington as Sunday marked the close of the drive. The charity drive, held from Aug. 23-25, was hosted by the Hometown Foundation Inc., the philanthropic arm of Cheshire-based Bozzuto’s Inc. The event marked the 24th year at the Farmington Polo Club and raised money for charities including Special Olympics and Dog Star Rescue.
