Bloomington to Consider Conditional Use Permit for New Cricket Facility at Planning Commission Hearing
Bloomington's cricket enthusiasts could be looking at a new venue to enjoy and engage in the sport. The Bloomington Planning Commission announced that on July 25, there will be a public hearing to discuss a proposed Conditional Use Permit. If approved, it would allow an existing warehouse at 10701 Hampshire Ave S to be converted into a cricket sports facility. This session is set for 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers of Bloomington Civic Plaza, located at 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road.

Laboratory schools staffers are the latest group to organize at ISU
For the first time in nearly 170 years, staff at Illinois State University’s Laboratory Schools, have formally moved to unionize. Accused home repair fraudster pleads guilty to Tazewell Co. charges
PEKIN (25News Now) - A Peoria man who was the subject of a 25News special report earlier this year, pleaded guilty to home repair fraud charges in Tazewell County. The special report detailed stories from multiple victims of Nicholas Hamby, owner of NJH Hardscapes. They all claimed he would quote them a price for various outdoor home improvement projects but would disappear after the initial deposit was secured.
