Clemson Baseball Adds Citadel, Big Ten, and WAC Talent Through Transfer Portal
Clemson Tigers add Citadel pitcher Luke Kissenberth, a South Carolina native, with one year of eligibility left, known for a .194 batting average against him. The Citadel recently hired Russell Triplett, a former Clemson standout, as their new head coach. Kissenberth joins Clemson alongside former Cal Baptist shortstop Josh Paino and two Big Ten infielders: Collin Priest from Michigan and Luke Gaffney from Purdue.
New Police Chief in West Union
Friday morning, July 19, at 9AM West Union Mayor Linda Oliver swore in Sergeant Benjamin Hailey as the new Chief of Police for the Town of West Union. Jeff Richardson resigned his position effective on Wednesday July 17. Corporal Jeremy Kennemore will be promoted to Sergeant effective July 29.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a cyberattack on a vendor-managed system from May. On May 13, an NC SBI agency network received an email with details about how their network had been hacked. The email came weeks after the SBI got some warnings that their agency network had been compromised.
