MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – Madisonville-North Hopkins football is coming off an 8-3 record in 2023.

The Maroons are looking to be an even more dangerous team in 2024. They are returning both of their 1,000 rushers in Kanyon Johnson and Markezz Hightower. The dynamic duo are a QB and RB combo. MNH head coach, Chris Price, said they’re tough to stop.

“Other teams have to find a way to stop both of them rather than just keying in on one. That’s what makes us different. We have a guy that can spin the ball and run it,” said Price.

The two have gotten bigger and stronger, so now they are focused on limiting mistakes.

“Just being disciplined and listening to the coaches,” said Hightower.

The Maroons also stressed that the offensive line is what’s going to make everything possible and this years’ group is bigger than most others.
