Dallas Police Searching for 3 suspects after 5 shot and Officer Injured Outside Gas Station

According to Dallas Police, three individuals are on the run in connection with the shooting that occurred outside of a Texaco gas station in South Dallas on Saturday morning, resulting in the injuries of five individuals.

The victims remain hospitalized, according to the police, as reported by WFAA .

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) reported that officials responded to a shooting complaint in the 100 block of West Laureland Road at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police reported that upon their arrival, they discovered that five individuals had been seriously injured. The gas station located at the intersection of Laureland Road and I-35E frontage road, was surrounded by crime scene tape by the Dallas Police Department as a result.

Police confirmed five individuals were transported to the hospital, with one of them being in critical condition. Two of the victims are women aged 25 and 35, while the remaining three are men aged 21, 28, and 29.

WFAA was shown video surveillance but wasn’t given permission to use it. However, they said the video shows dozens of people hanging out outside, and then at one point one individual pulled out his gun rifle and started shooting.

Reportedly an police officer was also injured at the scene after they twisted their ankle attempting to control the crowd of people, according to Dallas police. According to DPD officials, the officer was transported to the hospital and is anticipated to recover.

The events leading up to the shooting remain uncertain. The Dallas Police Department has stated that the suspects are three adult men and that the incident appears to have been targeted. Consequently, there is no threat to the public.
