Milwaukee man arrested in Fond du Lac County for speeding and drug possession
(WFRV) – The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office (FDLCSO) arrested a man early Friday morning after a deputy on I-41 clocked him driving at 120 miles per hour. Around 4:15 a.m. on Friday, the vehicle in question was heading northbound near Lost Arrow Road on I-41 and did not stop initially after being pursued. However, the vehicle exited at U.S. Highway 151 and pulled over.

Fond du Lac police are stepping up their presence at local hotels and motels this week during EAA AirVenture. In a Facebook post the Police Department says the Department has worked with local hotels and motels with a goal of raising awareness and educating managers and staff about identifying potential dangers and signs of sex trafficking. FDLPD says it has a “good working relationship with local hotels/motels and enable them to assist our officers and investigators by identifying and reporting unwanted customers or visitors involved in criminal activity.” The department says it will have additional officers deployed in marked patrol squads and unmarked vehicles during EAA targeting those who check into area hotels/motels to use, deliver, or sell narcotics or engage in sex trafficking.
Man charged with threatening Rice Lake police
An Oshkosh man with a history of disorderly conduct in a number of Wisconsin counties is accused of threatening Rice Lake police officers who responded to incidents of alleged harassment in a city park. Jason T. Stamper, 51, was charged on Wednesday in Barron County Circuit Court with felony threatening a law enforcement officer. 7-26-24 nurse charged in connection with death of waupun inmate is bound over for trial
A nurse charged in connection with the death of a Waupun prison inmate has been bound over for trial. Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing in Dodge County Circuit Court Thursday for 47 year old Jessica Ann Hosfelt of Oshkosh on a charge of abuse of a resident of a penal facility in the death of 62 year old Donald Maier. Hosfelt is one of nine staff members at the Waupun prison charged in connection with either Maier’s death of the death of 24 year old Cameron Williams. According to a criminal complaint Maier died of dehydration and malnutrition in February after prison staff failed to bring him meals and employees turned off his access to water after they say he flooded his cell. Williams died of a stroke last October after staff ignored his signs of distrress and failed to perform required checks according to prosecutors.
